Michelin-group brand focused on performance, off-road and light-truck tires — best known for the All-Terrain T/A KO family, one of the most recognized all-terrain tires ever made.
BFGoodrich started in Akron, Ohio in 1870 — America's first tire maker — and has been part of the Michelin group since 1990. Its identity today is built around off-road racing: the All-Terrain T/A and Mud-Terrain T/A lines carry decades of Baja racing development, and the KO2/KO3 remain the default answer when a truck owner asks for "the all-terrain everyone runs".
The street side is easy to miss but worth knowing: g-Force performance tires and the Advantage touring line give Michelin-backed engineering at a friendlier price than the parent brand.

BFGoodrich Warranty in Canada, in Detail
BFGoodrich Canada uses the Michelin-group warranty template: a 6-year workmanship-and-materials warranty with a 12-month free-replacement window, per-line treadwear warranties, and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee on select lines. One thing to know before comparing with American articles: the US-market roadside assistance program does not exist on the Canadian side.
Satisfaction guarantee60 daysSelect lines only — up to 6 tires, exchange at place of purchase
Defect warranty1 yr free, 6 yrs totalFree replacement in year 1 (within first 2/32" wear), incl. mounting
Treadwear warrantyUp to 120,000 kmEven the KO2/KO3 all-terrains carry 80,000 km
Road hazard / roadsideNoneRoad hazard excluded; no Canadian roadside program
60-day satisfaction guarantee (select lines)
On the All-Terrain T/A KO2/KO3, Trail-Terrain T/A, Winter T/A KSI, Advantage Control and g-Force Phenom: if not 100% satisfied, bring the tires and receipt back to the place of purchase within 60 days and exchange for a set of equal or lesser value, up to 6 tires. The Mud-Terrain KM3 and g-Force COMP-2 A/S PLUS do not carry the guarantee in Canada.
Defect warranty (workmanship & materials)
A tire with a workmanship or materials defect is replaced free — including mounting and balancing — if no more than 2/32" (or 25%) of the tread is worn and it is within 12 months of purchase. After that, replacement is prorated by tread used, for the life of the tread or 6 years, whichever comes first.
Treadwear warranty by product line (km)
Two different things, often confused: a treadwear (mileage) warranty is not the defect warranty, and it is not a promise the tire will last that far. It means that if the tread wears out evenly before the listed distance (with rotation records in order), the manufacturer credits the unused percentage toward a replacement — you still pay the rest. Manufacturing defects are covered separately by the defect warranty above, which has its own free-replacement window and total term.

What the warranty does not cover
Road hazards — cuts, snags, bruises, impact damage and punctures

Uneven wear from misalignment or vehicle mechanical problems
Sealants, balancing liquids or non-approved fillers
Accident, fire, chemical corrosion, alteration or vandalism

Minor cosmetic ozone / weather cracking
How to claim at Taylor Tire
First thing to know: the warranty belongs to the manufacturer, not the store. Tires bought from us can be claimed at any authorized dealer of that brand anywhere in the country — if you move away, or something goes wrong on a road trip, you do not have to drive back to Markham for us to handle it. (Two notes: the satisfaction trial exchange is the exception, which the manufacturers require you to do at the original place of purchase; and warehouse chains such as Costco and Canadian Tire generally only process claims on tires they sold themselves, so call ahead — that is their store policy, not the warranty.)
Call BFGoodrich Consumer Care Canada first — 1-888-871-6666 — and open the claim to get a case number. We can make that call with you at the counter if you prefer.
Bring the vehicle with the tires on it, plus your ID, vehicle registration and the original invoice. We measure the tread, document the condition and submit the Michelin-group forms under your case number as a BFGoodrich retailer. If we sold and rotated the tires, the required service records are already in our system.
You pay for the replacement tire on the day. This is the same for every brand: the manufacturer only settles after the tire reaches them and they have inspected it, so the new tire is a normal purchase up front — that is not us, it is how tire warranty adjustments work.
Once the manufacturer inspects and approves, we refund you — by e-transfer, or in cash if you would rather drop by. How much comes back follows the terms above: the full amount inside the free-replacement window, a prorated share after that.
Yes — 80,000 km on all replacement sizes, which is unusual for an aggressive all-terrain tire. The Mud-Terrain KM3, by contrast, has none.
Does BFGoodrich include roadside assistance like Michelin?
Not in Canada. The roadside program you may read about on American sites is US-only; bfgoodrich.ca offers no roadside or flat-tire program.
Which BFG lines get the 60-day guarantee?
KO2, KO3, Trail-Terrain T/A, Winter T/A KSI, Advantage Control and g-Force Phenom. The KM3 and COMP-2 A/S PLUS do not carry it in Canada.
Terms above are transcribed from the manufacturer's official Canadian documents (verified 2026-08). Manufacturers can revise terms; their current official documents govern:
