Uniroyal traces back to the United States Rubber Company, founded in 1892, and in North America it has been a Michelin-group brand since 1990 — which is the key fact most shoppers miss. A Uniroyal here is not the same company as "Uniroyal" tires sold in Europe (those belong to Continental); ours are built within the Michelin manufacturing system.
The Tiger Paw name has been on Uniroyal passenger tires for decades, and the lineup stays deliberately simple: touring, light-truck and winter, priced for the budget-conscious. It is a brand we quote when the request is "reliable, nothing fancy, good price".
Uniroyal shares the Michelin-group warranty template — 6-year workmanship-and-materials coverage with a 12-month free-replacement window and per-line treadwear warranties — plus a 45-day satisfaction guarantee that, unlike the pricier group brands, applies to every current line including the winter tires.
If not 100% satisfied, bring the tires and the original receipt back to the place of purchase within 45 days and exchange them for a set of equal or lesser value — up to 4 tires per customer, on every current Uniroyal line including the Tiger Paw Ice & Snow winters.
A tire with a workmanship or materials defect is replaced free — including mounting and balancing — if no more than 2/32" (or 25%) of the tread is worn and it is within 12 months of purchase. After that, replacement is prorated by tread used, for the life of the tread or 6 years, whichever comes first.
Two different things, often confused: a treadwear (mileage) warranty is not the defect warranty, and it is not a promise the tire will last that far. It means that if the tread wears out evenly before the listed distance (with rotation records in order), the manufacturer credits the unused percentage toward a replacement — you still pay the rest. Manufacturing defects are covered separately by the defect warranty above, which has its own free-replacement window and total term.

First thing to know: the warranty belongs to the manufacturer, not the store. Tires bought from us can be claimed at any authorized dealer of that brand anywhere in the country — if you move away, or something goes wrong on a road trip, you do not have to drive back to Markham for us to handle it. (Two notes: the satisfaction trial exchange is the exception, which the manufacturers require you to do at the original place of purchase; and warehouse chains such as Costco and Canadian Tire generally only process claims on tires they sold themselves, so call ahead — that is their store policy, not the warranty.)
