Tire Rotation
On most cars the front tires do the steering, carry the engine and take the braking load, so they wear out well before the rears. Moving them around on a schedule evens that out — the set wears down together, holds grip more predictably, and you replace four tires when they are actually finished instead of two at a time.

How it works
Rotation is walk-in, about twenty minutes. Most manufacturers ask for it every 10,000 km or so — a convenient time is whenever the car is in for an oil change or a seasonal change-over.

Common questions
How often should I rotate?
Roughly every 10,000 km, or every second oil change. If the fronts are visibly more worn than the rears, you are already past due.
My tires are directional / staggered — can they still be rotated?
Directional tires rotate front to rear on the same side. Staggered sets (wider rears) usually cannot be rotated at all unless the tires come off the rims. We check which case you are in before touching anything.
Should I balance at the same time?
Only if there is a vibration. Rotation alone does not change balance — but if the car shook before, moving the wheels around will move the shake, not remove it.
